Green methanol and Hydrogen are emerging fuels important to transition from traditional fossil fuels. It takes a large amount of energy to manufacture these fuels. A geothermal power plant can produce the electrical energy to power the process, making the methanol or hydrogen a perfect ‘green” energy fuel (green energy comes from natural resources and is produced without harming the environment). Alaska has an abundance of geothermal prospects, but most are in remote locations. Developing a geothermal prospect to produce green fuels may be the best methodology to monetize the geothermal prospect. Alaska is ideally suited for supplying such fuels giving its proximity to international shipping lanes.
